Viome operates at the intersection of wellness and biotech, offering personalized health insights based on gut microbiome analysis. They needed a designer to refine their brand materials online, create a structured design system, and bring a minimal approach to their website and app experiences.

Since joining them, I built their design system from scratch, making it easier for the team to create and iterate on new pages. I also helped structure and design their newsletters, mapping the entire user journey from product acquisition to product registration and beyond. Additionally, I contributed to the early concepts for the latest version of their consumer app, as well as other collateral assets for their brand.

When I Joined

Viome was in the process of improving its brand usage across multiple platforms and needed a designer to align the look and feel of its products with its evolving guidelines. They required custom UI components (icons, illustrations), a structured design system, and continuous app and website iterations. Their goal was to create a modern, user-friendly experience while maintaining consistency everywhere. The role also involved designing responsive website pages, landing pages, and improving overall usability while working in a fast-paced, A/B testing environment.

Since Then

I created Viome’s design system from the ground up, which included reusable components, styles, and variables. This allowed the team to build and test new website pages more efficiently, reducing the time needed to launch iterations. The system also ensured consistency across their app, website, and marketing materials.

I helped design and structure their newsletters, ensuring a smooth user journey from first interaction to ongoing engagement. Additionally, I worked on the early design concepts for the new version of their consumer app, helping shape its user experience and visual direction.
